Companion Airfare FAQ's 1. What Airlines?This pass works with most major airlines & most major or international airports. Major airports are defines as having 3 or more major carriers. 2. How does this work?This voucher entitles the user to
purchase one full fare round trip ticket through the designated Reservation Center, and get a 2nd ticket at no additional cost for the
same flight.
You
will first select your destination & preferred dates of travel, &
the reservation center will give you a listing of available airlines, & specific itineraries to choose from. Your round trip travel must be completed within 30 days. Due
to
popularity of this voucher, reservations are made by Reservation Center
email or standard mail only. They respond to all messages with in 24
hours.
3. How much is the first ticket?Prices for the first ticket tend to be an average of
pricing you may find online, but vary depending on your travel plans. The first ticket will have the same pricing as a Y-Class ticket, which is defined as an "Unrestricted Economy Ticket". First ticket must meet the min requirements listed. CTG has NO control over ticket or vendor pricing & cannot make guarantees as such - these details must be handled through your designated Reservation Center. 4. Can I give you a flight # to look up?We do not handle reservations and cannot access the database of our partner company. To use this voucher this process must be followed. Once you have your Reservation forms, let the travel center know WHERE you would like to go, and
what dates you prefer to travel. Based on this information, they will find available flights for
you to choose from among available major airlines. You may then select your preferred itinerary from there. You may certainly request a
particular airline if you have a preference, but flight selection is ultimately based on availability.
5. How soon can I book?The travel center requires a minimum of 30 days advance notice, but we
STRONGLY recommend 45 - 60 days. The more flexible you can be with dates and times, the more choices you will have. Using this voucher may involve USPS mail, please take this factor into consideration when planning travel dates. Your round trip travel must be completed within 30 days. 6. When will it expire?The Companion Airfare Pass
will not expire until 1 year after YOU register it online. This
voucher can easily be "re-activated" after one year by submitting a
$30 fee - so essentially these do not expire. This is fully transferable before it is registered online. 7. Can I use my 2nd Free Ticket at another time?No, to use the free ticket, both guests must travel together at the same time, and itineraries must be identical. This pass is intended for one use within a one year period, however, if you have multiple passes, you may have someone else register their name as the first traveler. 8. Are there Blackout dates?There
are NO blackout dates listed for this offer. Availability is strictly
first come, first serve however, so using this pass during holiday seasons may be limited or impossible and should be booked as far in advance as possible. With the Companion Airfare voucher, a Saturday night stay in your arrival destination required, & some destinations may require a Friday
overnight stay.
9. Is there any kind of sales pitch needed to use this? NO! 10. Can I look up specific flights or dates before I buy?Availability is first come first serve & changes very rapidly. Because of the nature and
popularity of these offers, this can only booked using our vendors travel center, not through the airline directly. Our vendors have special relationships & programs with airlines that you cannot find by calling airlines direct.
Once
you receive your voucher forms in the mail you may contact the travel center to book in
detail. Our travel centers always do their best to accommodate your
travel
dates and wishes, but whenever possible, it does help if there is some
flexibility in your itinerary. The BEST part is, if you decide not to use the voucher for your upcoming trip, you may use it another time! 11. Are these Stand By or Buddy Passes?NO! These are actual seated tickets. All reservations are electronically ticketed and will come to you via email in the exact same format as if you purchased online from the airlines. *
